Wake up to a travelers haven in Sydney

Sydney | 1 Review | July 8, 2010

Let’s face it, if you are constantly traveling for adventure or for work, going from one place to another on a travelers budget is not very easy considering, the inconveniently tiny sleeping spaces. And even airport seats or local buses.

Most of the youth hostels are used by older and middle aged people who do not have their own homes. Most hostels are like havens for youngsters hosting their over night parties and the hotels are okay with it. The hostels make for inexpensive venues with basic facilities available.

A couple of my friends; Adam and Charlotte; lived in hostels for quite a while; while they were traveling. They usually ended up sharing the dorm with some frat boys or girls who would play heir music loud all the time and get drunk.

Charlotte told me the girls would usually have lots of friends over and were very noisy. The boys would get drunk and throw up and play loud music all night, and because of that; Adam never really slept most nights.

So if you are in Sydney and you are looking for a decent place to stay with is inexpensive and delightfully warm at the same time; you should check out ‘wake up

This place is superb, it is run by a family who started this business in 2002. Since it has begun, it has been noticed and well recognized for its warm staff and good service. The facilities provided are pretty good. And the staff keeps the place clean and well maintained.

The hostel has internet all the time. Wireless connections are also available. You have travel services, people who can get you in touch with city wide tours and guides. It also has a face and a kitchen. Laundry service, a DVD lounge, lockers to store your belongings, twenty-four hour helpline and security. Mobile phone and phone cards are also available. Whats more is, if you want to get a small job around the area, they have a service; that would hook you up with one.

You get single or double- rooms. A ten person dorm is also available. The maximum time you could live at one time at this place is twenty-eight days. This much time is usually sufficient; if you are on the go.

Wake up is located right at the Hay-market/ Chinatown. So the food in the area is cheap and delicious. The train station is close by and so is the harbor. If you fancy going down to the beach then just hop onto the local buses and you are fully sorted.
