Toxic gases and bad weather is always a contact hazard.  When you compare the lines into the descent which brings it close to the actual lava lake, the whole thing is boiling and churning about four hundred meters below the ground. The weather here is quite changeable. For five minutes the weather could be sunny and then the next five, it could be pouring with rain.

The lava lake at Vanuatu Volcano has large volumes of what looks like molten lave, the content is usually basaltic and this is contained in a vent which is quite a substantial volcano eruption. There is a broad depression here. And this tern is used to describe both the lava lakes and the ones which are whole and partly molten. Some of these have now solidified.

The whole thing may seem quite dangerous but the crews here are experience and under usual circumstances always know what their doing. Since this is such a high safety risk, a lot of precautions are taken, lest it would result in the loss if human life.

There are three ways in which these take form:

The first way is when there are more vents in the volcanoes crater which tends to erupt, with enough lava to fill the crater.

When the lava pours into the crater, this makes for a broad depression which fills the crater quite well.

When the lava pours from the volcanoes right into the crater is when the broad depression partially fills the entire crater.

When you go over the new vents of the volcano eruption, the lava from here pours out almost continuously for a long period which may even go on for many weeks.  This is what is responsible for building the crater higher and higher above the ground that surrounds this place.

This event also brings to light the many real life stories that daring enthusiast undertake and head to the center of the Earth. These daring adventurers go near lava spewing craters of huge volcanoes.  If you are a tourist with a lot of safety precautions in mind, you would also have a chance to do the same thing.
