    The commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
    The Northern Mariana, which is officially known as the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), moreover is commonwealth within a political union by means of the United States of America, which occupies tactical region placed the western areas of the Pacific Ocean. It takes account of total fifteen islands that are located about a distance of three-quarters of the entire way from Hawaii up to Philippines. The Census Bureau of United States reports that the total terra firma area, which is covered by all of these islands, is somewhere around 179.01 sq miles (almost 463.63 sq kms). The total population of Northern Mariana Islands is almost around 80,362 (according to 2005 estimate). In addition the official census count that was recorded in the year 2000 was around 69,221.
