  • East Rennell/Rennell Island
    East Rennell constitutes the southern part of Rennell Island, the southern most island of the Solomon Islands, an archipelagic nation in the Western Pacific. It covers portions of the Rennell and Bellona Province Rennell Island, with a length and breadth of 86 km and 15 km, respectively, and area of 37,000 hectares is the second largest raised coral atoll in the world.     Ghizo Island is located in Solomon Islands, which is 11 km long and 5 km wide and has a summit elevation of 180metres (Maringe Hill). The island, named after a local head-hunter, is located west of New Georgia and Kolombangara. About Gizo: Gizo, located in Ghizo Island, is the third biggest town in the Ghizo Island in Solomon Islands, an archipelagic nation located in Southwest Pacific Ocean in Melanesia. Gizo is the capital of the Western Province in the Solomon Islands, about 380 km from Honiara.
